Combine a private five-hour sauna boat voyage with a hands-on crabbing experience in Indian Arm near Raccoon Island. The cedar sauna is hot when you board, so your group can begin enjoying the sauna, upper lounge, lower lounge with table seating, two showers and your own music while cruising. Once anchored, set two crab traps with bait and guidance included, then enjoy optional swimming, the paddleboard, floaties and a complimentary onboard Insta360 X5 rental while the traps soak.
The five-hour Crabbing Voyage combines a private Indian Arm sauna boat experience with the excitement of setting and retrieving your own crab traps. The entire Hot Voyage boat is reserved exclusively for your group of up to 12, with no strangers onboard.
The cedar sauna is hot and ready when you board, so the experience begins immediately. As you cruise through Burrard Inlet and into Indian Arm toward the Raccoon Island area, move between the panoramic sauna, upper lounge, lower lounge with table seating, freshwater and saltwater showers, scenic decks and six-speaker Bluetooth sound system. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them together while cruising.
Once you reach the crabbing area, your group can help bait and lower two crab traps, with the traps, bait and guidance included. While they soak, continue enjoying the sauna or head into the water for optional swimming, the paddleboard and floaties. A complimentary onboard Insta360 X5 rental is also included, making it easy to record jumps, group videos, panoramic scenery and other moments from the voyage. The camera must remain onboard.
Before the return cruise, retrieve the traps and discover what the waters of Indian Arm have brought up. A catch cannot be guaranteed because crabbing results vary, but setting the traps, enjoying the boat and checking the catch are all part of the experience.
Anyone harvesting crab must hold a valid B.C. Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence. Current Fisheries and Oceans Canada limits, openings, closures and harvesting regulations also apply.
With a full group of 12, the five-hour private voyage works out to approximately CA$50 per person, per hour. It is a memorable choice for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette groups, family gatherings, team outings and anyone looking for a distinctive West Coast adventure.
Arrive 15 minutes early, shoes into the bin, quick welcome and safety briefing. The cedar sauna is already hot — first rounds start while we’re still pulling away from the dock.
We cruise beyond Burrard Inlet into Indian Arm, bound for the Raccoon Island area — forested shores and deep green water, cold drink in hand. Sauna, rooftop deck, your playlist on six speakers the whole way.
You bait and drop two crab traps with the captain’s guidance, then we anchor nearby while they soak. Ocean plunge off the boat, paddleboard and floaties in the water — and round after round in the cedar heat.
Haul the traps and see what the Arm sent up — keepers stay, everything else goes back per DFO rules. One last sauna round as we cruise home, then a freshwater shower and a warm step off the dock.
You board in the Port Moody area — the gateway to the sheltered, calm waters of Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm. The exact meeting spot, map pin, and arrival instructions are sent right after you book, so your group lands at the right dock on the first try.
Arrive 15 minutes early. Time to find the meeting point, drop outdoor shoes in the storage bin, and confirm waivers before departure.
Boarding is direct or by tender. Depending on tide and dock access, you’ll step straight aboard or take a short, scenic tender ride out to the boat — crew guides you either way.
No outdoor shoes onboard. Go barefoot or bring clean, indoor-only flip-flops. A bin is provided for your shoes at boarding.

Waiver
Every guest signs a digital liability waiver before boarding — no waiver, no boarding. We collect names and emails after you book.
Ages
Minimum age 14. Guests under 19 must be accompanied onboard by their own parent or legal guardian, who signs their waiver. Alcohol is 19+ only.
Cold plunge
Entering the ocean is optional and entirely at your own risk — confident swimmers only, feet first, at anchor, with the captain’s go-ahead. No lifeguard on duty.
Smoke-free
Smoking, vaping, and cannabis are prohibited onboard at all times.
Accessibility
Not wheelchair accessible. Guests must be able to step between a dock, tender, and vessel and keep their balance on marine surfaces.
The captain
The captain has final authority on routing, anchoring, water activities, and all matters of safety — including adjusting or cancelling the crabbing component when conditions or regulations require it.
