3-Hour Family Sauna Boat Voyage

The Family Voyage

· 340+ reviews

A private West Coast adventure for families with teenagers 14+. Three hours, the whole boat, up to 12 of you — scenic cruising, a hot cedar sauna from the moment you board, and cold ocean plunges at anchor off Admiralty Point.

This is the family sauna boat experience for ages 14 and up — three hours on the water, no screens required. The sauna is hot and ready when you step aboard, so the first round starts while we’re still casting off. Then comes about 30 minutes of scenic cruising toward Admiralty Point, the shoreline sliding past the sauna’s panoramic window.

Off Admiralty Point we drop anchor in calm water — often 75 to 90 minutes, the longest stretch of the voyage. That’s when the teenagers take over: ocean plunges off the boat, paddleboard and floaties in the water, saltwater shower on deck for anyone not ready to commit. Then back into the heat, as many rounds as you like.

Your family is the only group onboard — no strangers, no schedule but your own. Each guest under 19 brings their own parent or legal guardian, who signs their waiver. For a full group of 12, it works out to about CA$50 per person, per hour.

1

Board in Port Moody

Arrive 15 minutes early, shoes into the bin, quick welcome and safety briefing for the whole family. The cedar sauna is already hot — first rounds start while we’re still pulling away from the dock.

2

Cruise the coastline

About 30 minutes of easy cruising along the coast — sweeping views of Burnaby Mountain and forested shores. Sauna, rooftop deck, your family playlist on six speakers, and a group photo you didn’t have to stage.

3

Anchor at Admiralty Point

The longest stretch of your charter — we anchor in calm water off Admiralty Point, often for 75 to 90 minutes. The teenagers lead the first plunge — paddleboard and floaties in the water, saltwater deck shower for the undecided — then straight back into the heat.

4

The return leg

One last round as we cruise home. Rinse off in the freshwater shower, change in the private washroom, and step off warm, calm, and closer than when you boarded.

Important: Routes, destinations, timings, boarding methods, anchorages, and activities are shown as a guide and may change based on weather, tides, marine traffic, regulations, safety, and operational conditions. These changes do not constitute cancellation and do not entitle guests to a refund if the charter proceeds. See our Terms and Conditions page.

You board in the Port Moody area — the gateway to the sheltered, calm waters of Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm. The exact meeting spot, map pin, and arrival instructions are sent right after you book, so your group lands at the right dock on the first try.

Arrive 15 minutes early. Time to find the meeting point, drop outdoor shoes in the storage bin, and confirm waivers before departure.

Boarding is direct or by tender. Depending on tide and dock access, you’ll step straight aboard or take a short, scenic tender ride out to the boat — crew guides you either way.

No outdoor shoes onboard. Go barefoot or bring clean, indoor-only flip-flops. A bin is provided for your shoes at boarding.
