Our story wasn’t born in a boardroom. It began right here, on the calm, deep waters of our home in Port Moody, British Columbia.
For over a decade, the majestic waterway of Indian Arm has been our sanctuary. As locals, we’ve spent countless hours exploring its stunning coastline, not just on the sun-drenched days of summer, but in all of its beautifully moody seasons. The idea for Hot Voyage arrived on one of those classic West Coast afternoons – a rainy fall day, when the mist hangs low on the mountains and the air and water both carry a deep chill. We were on our boat, mesmerized by the scenery, but feeling that familiar dampness. We found ourselves saying what we’d said a hundred times before: “Imagine if we could feel this incredible view from a place of deep, bone-warming heat… right now, right here.”
This time, the idea stuck. We went online and saw how other coastal communities around the world had their own floating saunas, and we knew we had to bring that incredible experience to our own community in Greater Vancouver.
We knew we had to create a version that was uniquely our own-built for the Pacific Northwest. Our vessel isn't an import; it was proudly built right here in Canada, by Canadian craftspeople. It's the culmination of a simple question on a rainy day, and a passion for sharing the profound experience of being warm and alive in the heart of nature.
The Hot Voyage boat is a one-of-a-kind vessel, custom-designed from the hull up to be the ultimate floating sauna. Every detail was considered to maximize safety, comfort, and your connection to the stunning environment.
Canadian Craftsmanship
The boat’s foundation is a rugged and stable aluminum pontoon hull, built to handle the Pacific saltwater with ease. The superstructure is beautifully finished with locally sourced West Coast cedar, creating a warm, natural, and authentically British Columbian aesthetic.
The Heart of the Experience: The Sauna
The centerpiece of the vessel is our spacious, panoramic cedar sauna. Multi-level benches allow you to find your perfect heat, while massive windows ensure you never lose sight of the incredible, ever-changing scenery. The sauna is heated by a modern, clean-burning propane system, allowing for precise and consistent heat that is professionally managed by your captain for your comfort.
