Frequently Asked Questions

The Experience & What's Included

We offer an exclusive, private charter on a custom-built sauna boat. Unlike a typical boat trip, our experience is an integrated wellness adventure focused on the traditional thermal cycle: heating up in our spacious cedar sauna, taking an exhilarating cold plunge into the ocean, and relaxing with incredible views. It's a spa, a boat trip, and a nature escape all in one.

The vessel has a strict maximum capacity of 12 guests (including the person booking). The boat is designed with multiple zones to provide a spacious experience. Guests love rotating between the large cedar sauna, the main deck lounge, and the intimate upper deck lounge (which has a strict capacity of 5 guests at a time), ensuring a comfortable and social flow.

Our authentic cedar sauna is heated by a modern propane stove. The benefits are a clean, smoke-free heat that warms up quickly and, most importantly, allows for precise temperature control. We can customize the heat for your group anywhere from a mild 40°C (104°F) for beginners to a robust 80°C (176°F) for enthusiasts.

Your charter includes exclusive use of the boat for your group, an experienced and certified captain, all fuel for your scenic cruise, unlimited use of the temperature-controlled sauna, access to all lounge areas, an onboard washroom, fresh & saltwater showers, a premium Bluetooth sound system, and all required safety gear.

Indian Arm is a spectacular waterway. Depending on your trip's duration, you may see stunning waterfalls (like Silver Falls and Granite Falls), rugged coastlines, beautiful islands like Jug Island, and local marine life such as seals and eagles.

The captain is your professional guide and safety officer. They are responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel, managing anchoring or drifting, providing a comprehensive safety briefing, and controlling the sauna temperature. Their focus is on your safety and ensuring a smooth, memorable voyage.

Every season offers a unique magic! Summer brings warm sun and brisk water. Autumn has stunning foliage and cozy heat. Winter and spring offer a dramatic, moody atmosphere where the contrast between the hot sauna and the cold air and water is truly incredible.

Booking, Payment & Waivers

All bookings are made through our secure online booking system on our website. Simply select your desired package, date, and time, and follow the prompts with a credit card to confirm your private charter instantly.

Yes, waivers are mandatory for every single guest. A link to our digital waiver will be sent to the booking organizer. This link must be shared with every guest to sign prior to arrival. Any guest who has not signed the waiver will not be permitted to board, without refund.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your charter. We also require a valid credit card on file for a pre-authorization hold (security deposit) which is placed 24 hours before your trip and released afterwards, provided there are no damages or major policy violations.

We offer a 70% refund for cancellations made more than 10 days prior to the scheduled departure. Cancellations made within 10 days of departure are non-refundable. Rescheduling requests are treated as cancellations; we recommend purchasing travel insurance if your plans are uncertain.

Your safety is our priority. The captain will cancel any trip if marine conditions (like high winds) are unsafe. In this event, you will have the choice of a full 100% refund or rescheduling for a future date. We do not cancel for rain.

Yes, as long as your total group size does not exceed the 12-person maximum, you can update your guest count. Please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure all new guests have signed the waiver.

Yes! A floating sauna charter is an incredible gift. You can purchase digital gift cards for any of our packages directly on our website.

The Famous Cold Plunge & Water Activities

Yes, the cold plunge is a signature part of our experience! It is undertaken strictly and entirely at your own risk with a mandatory signed waiver. The main rules are: feet-first jumping only (no diving), stay close to the boat, and only enter the water when the captain has declared it safe.

The captain provides a full safety briefing before any water activity. The boat has a swim ladder and a life ring. However, there is no lifeguard on duty, and all water activities are unsupervised. You must be a confident swimmer comfortable in cold, deep water. If you are not, you must not enter the water.

Our exhilarating onboard saltwater shower provides a fantastic alternative. It uses crisp ocean water to give you the invigorating hot-cold sensation safely and conveniently on deck.

It’s refreshingly crisp! Water temperatures in Indian Arm vary by season, typically ranging from a chilly 5-8°C (41-46°F) in the winter to a more brisk 15-18°C (59-64°F) in late summer.

We have a swim ladder. The captain will deploy it and instruct you on its proper use before anyone enters the water.

Yes, when the captain deems it safe. Please be mindful that a maximum of 5 guests are allowed on the upper deck at any one time, even when just watching others jump.

For everyone's safety, diving headfirst, swimming far from the boat, pushing or horseplay, and entering the water if you are intoxicated are all strictly forbidden and will result in the immediate termination of water activities.

Rules & Safety

The four golden rules are:

  • 19+ Only: All guests must be of legal age.

  • Substance & Smoking Policy: For the safety and comfort of all guests, the use of any illegal substances, cannabis in any form, and all forms of smoking are strictly prohibited on board at all times. Any violation of this policy will result in the immediate termination of the charter without a refund.
  • Waivers are Mandatory: No waiver, no boarding.

  • Captain's Word is Final: All safety instructions must be followed.

Yes. The total capacity is 12 guests. Critically, the upper deck has a strict maximum of 5 guests at any time for stability and safety. This rule is enforced by the captain.

The captain has the right to terminate any charter early due to unsafe or disrespectful behavior, with no refund. The cost to repair any damages caused by guests will be charged against the security deposit.

No. For your safety, only the captain is authorized to operate the vessel's controls and the propane sauna system.

Observing wildlife is a magical part of the experience. We strictly adhere to all Canadian marine regulations, which includes keeping a safe and respectful distance. Do not attempt to touch, feed, or disturb any animals.

Logistics & Location

Certainly. You will arrive at the public dock in Port Moody 15 minutes early. Our crew will meet you there with a large, Zodiac-style inflatable boat. After a quick check-in, you'll board the tender for a scenic 5 minute shuttle ride to the main sauna boat, which is anchored not far away.

You can drive, use a ride-sharing service (Uber/Lyft), or take public transit. The Moody Centre SkyTrain station is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk through scenic Rocky Point Park to the docks. Parking can be very busy on weekends, so please plan accordingly.

Your charter time is a fixed window that begins at your scheduled booking time (e.g., a 4-hour charter booked for 1:00 PM runs from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). This includes the shuttle time. If you are late, that time is forfeited from your charter. The boat cannot wait, as it would delay subsequent trips.

Yes, custom pickup and drop-off locations may be possible to arrange. Our standard charters include complimentary pickup and drop-off at our designated dock in Port Moody. If you require service at a different location, such as a private dock or another marina, please contact us directly before you book. We can assess the feasibility of your request and provide you with a custom quote.

No. Once your group is on the sauna boat, it is a continuous experience. All guests must stay for the full duration of the booked time, as we cannot run individual shuttles back to the dock.

Please do not use a street address. Your confirmation email will contain a precise Google Maps pin for the meeting location on the dock. Use this pin to ensure you arrive at the correct spot.
